		<description>It's not sendmail that's coping well, it'll be whatever IMAP server you're running, and if you're using mboxes or maildirs, etc. No idea what Ubuntu runs by default.

Thunderbird is a lot better at dealing with multiple connections than Entourage / Outlook, but I'm fairly sure Mail.app isn't too keen. Will do some more testing with the iPhone at some point to confirm how decent it is.</description>

		<description>That's odd; I leave Thunderbird running to our IMAP server all the time, and my SE750 has no problem in accessing it too.  Nor does my laptop.  I sometimes have Mail.app open on the desktop too (handy for Spotlight).

This is using bog standard Sendmail on Ubuntu ...
